1. Virtual Framing

Tired of having to squint your eyes to imagine what your artwork will look like, based on just one corner sample of moulding and a small piece of matboard? No more … with our Virtual Framer software, we can extend the moulding, mats and other elements of the framing package around the whole image of your art. See it on our new graphics computer at the Gallery.

Integrated Framer® Visualization allows you to capture images of artwork, moulding, matboard and fillet samples with a digital camera and make selections from the samples. Then with the click of a button, the software pieces the selections together to simulate what the finished project will look like.

2. Computerized Mat Cutter

Using a computer-controlled mat cutter, Pelican Art can cut mats to within a 32nd of an inch, per specifications. We can cut out logos, words, and special “clip art” to enhance the complete framing package. Please call 707.773.3393 or email to discuss making your logo or special matting. We offer classes on using the mat cutter to artists.

 

3. Computerized Work Orders

We can retrieve details on prior work done for you, and frame more in the same manner to make a series for you. Pelican Art uses a Macintosh-based network of computers for Point of Sale information and each work order’s details.
